The rising star of boxing, Ryan Garcia puts on another flawless performance. This time it was against Former two-time world title challenger, Francisco Fonseca at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Garcia was aiming to make a statement in this fight and sure he did.

The fight did not even last an entire round as Garcia knocked Fonseca out cold before Fonseca found his rhythm. Garcia looked very impressive. His hand speed and faints were a thing of beauty for the fans. He was looking for openings to land the perfect left hook. And when Fonseca committed to his strike Garcia connected a picture-perfect left hook that slept, Fonseca.

As soon as Garcia connected the left hook the fight was over and the referee did not even bother to count to 10 before stopping the fight. Dissecting his win over Fonseca, Garcia said:

I seen the left hook, it was there. I just needed to let him commit to a shot. So I let him get comfortable and I caught him right between the shot. It’s a perfect left hook. That’s what they call it.

It was all respect between Garcia and Fonseca once the fight was over. However, Garcia just put the lightweight division on notice with yet another quick finish against a tough opponent.

What is next for Ryan Garcia

With this win, Ryan Garcia has kept his unbeaten streak intact and has secured his 17th KO victory in 20 fights. After the fight the lightweight champion, Davin Haney stepped into the ring and called Garcia out for a fight. It is to be noted that these two lightweight elites have a history between them when they were amateurs.

Davin Haney said: If he wants a real fight, then he can fight me.
