High-profile celebrities attending boxing events is not a novelty. They are generally called to increase the value of the fight through their presence and bring about hype. This is the power of celebrity endorsements. And, of course, they do not do it for free. They charge enormously to be present at such events. One of these high-profile guests is Donald Trump. He has been one of those personalities that promoters leverage to further market their events.

After his term as the President of the United States ended, Donald Trump had been quite active in such events. If not at his Mar Lago Resort in Florida, the ex-president is usually found touring on a few paid events. Interestingly, he received one such invite back in 2021 and the money he received for it will shock you.

Earlier this week, the ex-president filed his taxes that revealed the staggering amount he received to commentate on the bout between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort back in 2021. The filings declare that he received a whopping $2.5 million. This engagement was the highest he was paid for post his presidential days. The money came from Triller Legends II LLC in September 2021. The fight held in September of 2011 saw Belfort winning against Holyfield by a first-round TKO. As for his earnings from the fight, Vitor Belfort earned a guaranteed $300,000-$500,000. On the other hand, Holyfield got an assured sum of $500,000. However, the PPV share and the sponsor bonus will be added to each of their cheques.

Belfort backs Elon Musk’s conservative agenda

It’s two rich folks fighting each other. When is that not exciting? However, this time the fight is in the headlines because Belfort is supporting someone between Zuckerberg and Musk as per BloodyElbow.com.

Belfort expressed his eagerness to train Musk. Comparing the two CEOs, Belfort said, “Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg. Twitter vs. Instagram. Left-wing agenda vs. right wing agenda.” Well, if only politics were that simple. However, he continued to say that he will side with Elon Musk this time because the latter supports a conservative agenda and that is exactly where Belfort locates himself.
