UFC President Dana White is interested in booking two of the biggest rematches of Conor McGregor’s career.

Floyd Mayweather schooled Conor McGregor in their bout in 2017. It was McGregor’s debut as a professional boxer. As expected, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion was unable to land anything significant on the undefeated boxer. Eventually, McGregor was stopped in the tenth round via a TKO.

The victory improved Mayweather’s record to a perfect 50-0. What an incredible way to end a career, right? Well, Mayweather might have not called it quits yet. And UFC President Dana White might aid him in his comeback fight. However, this time, White plans to keep it out of the boxing ring. He wants it to happen inside the octagon.

The first bout drew in a lot of PPV money, so why not go at it the second time? Apart from that, scheduling the fight inside the octagon will give McGregor a legitimate chance to win.

Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov 2?

Apart from that, Dana White is keen to book a rematch between McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

After his million-dollar fight with Mayweather, McGregor went on a hiatus. But, the competitive nature of the ‘Notorious, did not let him sit out for too long. A year later, McGregor returned to the octagon and took on the undefeated mixed martial artist – Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Once again, Conor McGregor was humiliated and submitted in the fourth round. Many people thought of McGregor as a washed-up athlete. But, McGregor proved his greatness when he returned to the cage and knocked out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds. He now awaits his next opponent.

A rematch with Khabib is a distant reality. The lightweight champion has shown no interest in fighting the Irishman. He claims that not even money can make him sign the contract to fight Conor. Furthermore, Tony Ferguson or Justin Gaethje will probably challenge for the title before McGregor.

As far as the rematch with Mayweather is concerned, the fight will never take place inside the octagon. Mayweather is a boxer with no background in other combat sports. Even if the fight does take place inside the cage, it will be conducted under special rules.
