Canelo Alvarez is only days away from fighting his next opponent, Dmitry Bivol. Alvarez will look to challenge Bivol for his WBA super lightweight title on May 7 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Scheduled for twelve 3-minutes rounds, Alvarez vs. Bivol will witness the attendance of 20,000 on May 7.

However, prior to his fight with Bivol, Alvarez was recently spotted at the Boxing with Chris Mannix podcast. At the podcast, Alvarez faced a specific question asked about when he saw himself taking part in a crossover fight with champion Kamaru Usman from the UFC. Having carefully gone through the question, the Mexican phenom replied with an air of humor lingering powerfully by his side.

In professional MMA, Usman has currently a record of 20 wins, 1 loss, and 0 draws. A total of 9 fights that Usman wins come by TKO. Being a collegiate wrestler, Usman shows great potency in both striking and grappling. However, Usman is 34 years old, and although there is a substantial difference between boxing and MMA, as opposed to Alvarez, he only has 21 professional fights to name for.

But that is only the fight records. If not equally, Usman and Alvarez are both brilliant in their own primary sports. In physical stature, Usman has a slight advantage. He is 6 feet and therefore, 3 inches taller than Canelo. However, Alvarez is used to fighting all sorts of opponents and therefore, boxing Usman shouldn’t be much of a problem for the same.
