Jake Paul and Tommy Fury‘s beef finally reached its end this year on February 26 in Saudi Arabia. The bout between these two has been on and off for two whole years and comprised several noteworthy dramas. Fury had failed to show up for the fight the previous two times, which only served to create even more hype for the third time. Fury had no option of backing down. His back was against the wall. The boxing world was scrutinizing his every action and word. Everybody had a single question in their mind: Will Tommy Fury show up for the fight?
People’s trust in Fury was at an all-time low. Soon, many started questioning his skills and abilities. This included some of the most influential figures in the field, too. Even boxing legend Mike Tyson predicted that Jake Paul would come out as the winner after a tough fight. The founder of Barstool Sports also did the same, but he went a step further and questioned Tommy’s ability as a boxer. Recently, a forgotten video of Joe Rogan silencing him for criticizing Tommy Fury went viral on Instagram.

The video was taken from an episode of Joe Rogan Experience, where Dave Portnoy went as a guest. During the interview, Portney first said that Tommy Fury is not a real boxer. Joe Rogan opposed his thinking and said that while Fury may not be the World Champion or, like his half brother, he is a legitimate professional boxer. Portnoy claimed that the Englishman is popular because of his last name, to which Rogan responded that he is still a good-looking guy and built like an athlete.
Rogan showed a compilation of Fury’s highlights to Portnoy and defended his boxing abilities, stating that he was “100 per cent a boxer.” Despite Jake Paul’s 6-0 record, Portnoy believed that he would “kill” the Englishman in a fight. Rogan, however, disagreed and defended Fury’s abilities as a professional boxer.
“You’re crazy if you don’t think Tommy Fury, a professional boxer. Look at that uppercut. Shut the f*** up dude”, Rogan said. Fury ended up winning the fight, proving Rogan right.

Despite several onlookers questioning and alleging that both fighters were ‘juicing’, the duo passed their drug tests, thus proving the legitimacy of their fight.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury both passed their drug tests after their fight last month. Tommy Fury, a star from Love Island, defeated Jake Paul, a former YouTuber who became a boxer, in Saudi Arabia. Although Jake Paul scored a knockdown in the final round, he lost to Fury by a split decision. Fury’s victory extended his unbeaten record to nine professional fights.
The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association confirmed that both men passed their drug tests. Jake Paul has made excuses for his defeat, saying he was sick during his training and was distracted by having a wet dream the night before the fight. The pay-per-view figures for the fight have not been released yet. However, the American boxer is already planning a second fight with Fury.
