On August 5, Nate Diaz, a veteran MMA fighter will take on YouTuber- turned-boxer, Jake Paul. The “Problem Child,” will step into the ring for the first time after his defeat against Tommy Fury back in February. Meanwhile, Diaz would make his debut in the boxing ring for the very first time following his departure from the UFC.
While Paul has more boxing experience, Diaz has more overall fighting experience and an impressive “gas tank” on him. Despite knowing the aforementioned fact, Paul is pushing for the bout to be 10 rounds instead of 8. Many consider the same to be an unwise move including UFC champion, Aljamain Sterling.

Nate Diaz or Jake Paul, who does Aljamain Sterling fancy?
Paul has his own podcast named, “BS w/ Jake Paul,” and had Sterling, the bantamweight UFC world champion, on the podcast. Amongst many things, they discussed Paul’s next fight against Diaz.
Without explicitly stating who is going to win the upcoming bout, Sterling hinted at 10 rounds being more favorable to Diaz than Paul. Reflecting upon the same, he stated, “We know who is the guy who is known for having a gas tank and kinda start a little bit slow but picks it up as it goes along.”
At this point, Paul was curious to know his actual prediction. However, Sterling played safe and did not pick sides, he stated, “I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
Sterling, apart from being a fighter, also analyses fights on his YouTube channel. And even he hesitated in picking out a clear winner for the August 5th main event. That being said, Paul on the other hand, made his prediction for Sterling’s potential fight against Sean O’Malley.
Sean O’Malley over Aljamain Sterling? Paul decides
Sean O’ Malley is a rising prospect in the bantamweight division. Although not official, he would most likely get a chance at the title and face Sterling next. Despite being the underdog, Paul fancies Malley and made that evident. He is a longtime supporter and friend of the bantamweight prospect and will not bet against him ever. Reflecting on the same, Paul stated, “I mean I have to go with Sean because he is my boy,” He adds, “It’s my loyalty…I have known Sean since 3 years ago.”

It is safe to say that although Sterling could make a decisive pick, Paul, on the contrary, was able to.
