UFC commentator Joe Rogan is one of the most renowned MMA analysts in the world. However, he is also a keen fan of boxing and is very much interested in the sport. Therefore, it was not a surprise when the former ‘Fear Factor’ Host shared his thoughts on one of the best boxers ever to grace the ring, the former four-division champion Roy Jones Jr.

Despite competing in the light heavyweight division at the start of his career, Roy Jones Jr. became the first person to win the heavyweight championship coming from a lower division. He even garnered a silver medal in the 1988 summer Olympics in a controversial loss a year before his professional debut. However, many people tend to forget the legacy ‘Captain Hook’ left behind. This was the reason why Rogan was quick to remind everyone of his greatness.

Later in the interview, Rogan claimed that fighters see a decline once their health starts to deteriorate. However, according to him during his prime, Jones was as good as anyone who stepped foot in the ring.

“This is the thing about fighters they can’t keep it up forever. It’s impossible and a lot of the time we think about fighters as who they were at the end of their career when their bodies are failing and they have too much mileage on the tank, it’s like, on the odometer rather. Roy Jones Jr. when he was at his peak, in his prime, was as good as anyone who laced on gloves,” he added.
