As the date for the epic showdown between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury approaches, combat enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation. On October 28th, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host a clash that many see as a classic case of a puncher’s chance against a seasoned champion. However, a recent twist has injected a potent dose of intrigue into this matchup. Ngannou’s decision to enlist the mentorship of none other than Mike Tyson has sparked a renewed sense of possibility.

This unexpected alliance has reshaped the narrative, elevating Ngannou’s chances from mere puncher’s odds to a potential game-changer. The influence of a legend like Tyson could potentially unlock new dimensions in Ngannou’s boxing skills, giving him the tools to dismantle the formidable Fury. In a recent appearance on his podcast, Altas revealed that ‘The Predator’ and his team came up with an offer. However, after meeting the former UFC champion, the veteran coach did not get an offer confirming the deal on the table. Instead, he got to know that Ngannou would now be training under his pupil, Tyson.

“I treat him like a gentleman, but apparently you had that deal with Tyson, and you’re asking me to go to Vegas. Why won’t you be honest with me? It does not feel good. It does not feel good. I’m not even crying. I guess what I’m saying is, can’t we be better as people?” he said,

As the news circulated, the combat world was abuzz with reactions. Fans and analysts shared a spectrum of opinions, with some commending Ngannou’s strategic move to work with Tyson, while others questioned the ethical considerations surrounding the situation.

A user named Thierry Fernier claimed that Ngannou was smart but also ungrateful for making this move. “Unfortunately Francis is very smart and very ungrateful,” he wrote.

Another user wanted the Cameroonian to take in Tyson in addition to Atlas and coach them. “Ngannou must take a guy like Tyson and a real coach and the two will collaborate,” he wrote.

Moreover, according to a user, Ngannou was only taking this fight to sell PPVs, and choosing Tyson would certainly boost sales. He also claimed that this bout would be treated like an exhibition. “That’s normal. Ngannou is here only thanks to social networks and buzz. Taking Mike Tyson is still for buzz. This fight is an exhibition,” he wrote.

However, one fan did not see Ngannou beating Fury with either Tyson or Atlas as a coach. “Really! Whatever, I don’t see an Ngannou beating Fury,” he wrote.
