Dana White’s Power Slap event is deeply criticized by Lou DiBella. In the tweet, he wrote, “If you have ANY DOUBT that our society is crumbling, just watch this @powerslapleague on @tbs. It’s like a graphic, disturbing train-wreck that’s hard to turn away from. Slap fighter … what the fuck does that even mean?! This is a testament to how fucked up we all are. Help me!!”

People have raised concerns not only because of the nature of the sport but also because of safety issues associated with PSL. But later, the UFC boss emphasized that there are no safety issues in this sport. He stated that in the ring, boxers take 300-400 punches but in Power slap it will be only 3-4 hits per event.

What is Dana White’s new Power Slap League?

Power Slap League is a new venture by the UFC chief, where there will be two fighters, and the fighters will slap each other with full force. The winner will be declared only after the other one gets knocked out. However, it is different from boxing. People are talking about the impact the hits in PSL potentially causes to the fighters.  The hits are aimed directly at the facial area of the fighters, which could increase the risk of some serious injuries. PSL will be broadcasted on TBS.

Fans and other celebrities are not taking this well. Some are making hilarious comparisons of PSL to a recent incident of Dana White when he slapped his wife on New Year’s Eve. However, White’s long-time ally, famous TV personality, Molly Qerim has stood beside Dana White in this matter.
