Floyd Mayweather is going to up the ante of his exhibition bouts. As he will be taking on the grandson of the well-known mafia boss of modern American History, John Gotti Sr. John Gotti III, is a professional MMA fighter with a 5-1-0 record. He only had two boxing matches till now, and his last match was against Alex Citrowske on January 21, 2023. Although it was his second boxing bout, Gotti III performed tremendously well, securing the victory by a first-round knockout. This has urged certain fans to claim that Gotti III is the only person who could give some challenge to Mayweather. Their bout is scheduled to happen on June 11, 2023.

The grandson of the former mafia boss also sent out a warning to Floyd Mayweather and declared that he’s looking for the KO in their upcoming bout. He warned  Mayweather to not take him lightly. Gotti III said, “I don’t care if it’s an exhibition or not. You signed to fight me, there’s no quarter. It’s kill or be killed.

Furthermore, the UFC commentator Joe Rogan in one of the episodes of his podcasts also praised Gotti III as a fierce fighter.

Joe Rogan talks highly of Floyd Mayweather’s next opponent

Recently a clip from an old episode of Joe Rogan Experience has been making the rounds all over the internet. It’s one of the episodes when Joe Rogan invited Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli to his show. Interestingly, Steve Schirripa, the famous Sopranos actor, was talking about his experience of growing up in a mod neighborhood. And Rogan brought John Gotti Sr., and his grandson into the conversation.

He started talking about his peculiar character and then mentioned the ways of his grandson. Rogan trumpeted, “John Gotti the third is an MMA fighter, he’s shredded, and the kid looks like a f***ing killer. I mean looks like an MMA fighter, covered in tattoos. I think he is undefeated and I think he’s got the majority of his fights if not all of them by knockout.

Then his second guest, Michael Imperioli, who’s also the famous Sopranos actor, stated that his grandfather was quite “good with his hands”, so he inherited the fighting talent from him. Rogan was bamboozled by this piece of information. Then Imperioli further substantiated, “He was you know, toe-to-toe and was pretty nifty as a fighter”.

Then Impereoli also compared himself with Al Capone, the famous American gangster better known as ‘Scarface’. So, John Gotti III comes from quite an intimidating family, and Rogan’s comments ratify the ferocity of the MMA fighter who recently turned to boxing.
