Controversial social media star Andrew Tate was once again in the firing line after he along with his brother, Tristan was taken into police custody in Romania. While many are still speculating about why the Tate brothers were detained by the police, the actual information regarding the arrest is still cloudy.

This is why UFC commentator Joe Rogan came to Tate’s defense after he was accused of many heinous crimes following his arrest. Despite this, Rogan feels that a false narrative should not be pushed regarding the recent events and Tate should not fall prey to mob justice that tends to prevail in social media.

Joe Rogan criticizes people for subjecting Tate to a media trial

On an episode of the JRE podcast with guest, David Portnoy, the former Fear Factor host stated that if the allegations against him were true, he should be punished. However, the people should not hope for Tate to be guilty just because they dislike him as this would lead to people being actually victimized.

If it’s true, you want him to be punished. Hoping that it’s not true when it is true is not good either you know what I’m saying. If you’re hoping that it’s true and it’s not true, that’s horrible because you are hoping for people to have been victimized.” said Rogan.

Moreover, he claimed that he could only hope that people were not judging him based on his personality.

You hope he’s not accused of these things. It’s just because of his bombastic personality and talking sh*t and getting all this attention, which he clearly has done.” he added

The UFC commentator might be the only one making some sense when it comes to ‘Top G’. This might be due to the polarizing personality Tate has created for himself which many think is his actual disposition when the cameras are off as well. However, Rogan seems to see through his character and empathizes with Tate.
