The crossover boxing events have always been deemed to be a successful draw for combat sports fans. The biggest crossover boxing event is Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, and it is to be noted that it’s also the second-most-grossing boxing event in history. So chasing that record is the recent heavyweight boxing crossover event between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. The co-main event just concluded with a seventh-round knockout by Fabio Wardley against David Adeleye.

So it’s only a matter of a few minutes to go before the world sees the showdown between two gladiators of different arenas. So, the experienced MMA fighter Conor McGregor who’s tried his hand at boxing against the former 5-division champion has come forward to give crucial advice ahead of Ngannou’s bout against ‘The Gypsy King’. Conor McGregor had already announced his presence for the fight a while ago. He even picked his fellow MMA fighter to win against the WBC titlist. So, in a recent interview, he was asked if he wants to give any advice to ‘Predator’ going into one of the biggest fights of his career outside of the UFC. He’s been out of the UFC since January 2022 and hasn’t fought anybody since his last bout against Ciryl Gane. So McGregor takes up the mantle to give strong advice to Ngannou. He said, “Forget the 12 rounds. Go for it from the bell. Put it on him early.” Then he started talking about his fight against ‘Money’. He explained, “My approach, in the opening two seconds of the bout against Mayweather I landed down the pipe, had him against the ropes, and caught a left hand down the pipe. But I’m thinking of round 12, I’m thinking of the distance.

So he told Ngannou not to follow the same path, and instead build the pressure against his opponent from the very beginning of the bout. He said, “You’ll crack him. He’s gonna be he’s not gonna know what to expect. He’s not saw Francis in the boxing ring. Francis is powerful, he’s more powerful early, put everything in your early shots.” So, McGregor has high hopes for Ngannou and listed out his expectations of him.
