It has been a dream of Katie Taylor to fight at Corke Park while making her debut in Ireland. As per updates, the security bill and insurance costs regarding Katie Taylor at Corke Park are estimated at $500k. In this matter, neither the GAA officials nor Matchroom Promotions are willing to pay the amount and facilitate Katie Taylor’s dream appearance at Corke Park. However, fellow Irish fighter Conor McGregor in a tweet expressed his willingness to sponsor the event.

Ahead of his big night against Tommy Fury on February 26th, Jake Paul sat with talkSport and reacted to a list of names fired at him. As soon as Jake Paul stumbled upon the picture of Conor McGregor, he referred to the latter’s willingness to provide sponsorship. Laughingly, ‘The Problem Child’ said, “Pay for the Corke Park bill for Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano”.

Conor McGregor wanted to sponsor Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano at the Corke Park

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano were the first women to headline a boxing match inside the prestigious MSG on 30th April last year. With four titles on the line, the two squared off against one another in the ring. They fought till the last round and Taylor defeated Serrano via spilt decision that night.

On May 20th, 2023, there will be a rematch between Taylor and Serrano in Dublin. While the date has been fixed, the organizers are yet to finalize a venue for the fight. Even though Taylor wants to make her debut in Ireland at Corke Park, the cost of renting the arena is a hindrance. At this, fellow Irishman Conor McGregor expressed his willingness to provide sponsorship.

Taking to Twitter, ‘The Notorious’ said, “The extra security bill is 500k to have Katie Taylor fight at croke park? I will sponsor the event to see this happen.” If the fight does not happen at Corke Park, as reported by The Sun, it may take place at the 3Arena.
