At the pre-fight press conference of the Power Slap 1 finale, Dana White, addressing selective outrage, referred to the slap event which Logan Paul and Arnold Schwarzenegger last year hosted. While everyone remained silent as Paul and Schwarzenegger hosted a slap event, the UFC suffered an outrage as they arranged Power Slap: Road to the Title. Despite going for approval and conducting the necessary tests, White complained of facing outrage. “Logan Paul and Arnold Schwarzenegger had a slap event – unregulated, no medicals, no nothing, right? There wasn’t one story written. We do the right things, we go for approval, we test, we invest millions of dollars in it and we make it safe. And everybody is outraged. Selective outrage”, said White at the pre-fight press conference of the Power Slap 1 finale.
While Logan Paul got away with his love for absurdity, Dana White cites selective outrage
Ahead of the slapping event that Paul and Schwarzenegger promoted, ‘The Maverick’ spoke about his love for absurdity. According to Paul, it is this love for absurdity that made him want to be involved with the Slap Fighting Championship. In addition, Paul had addressed how this entire sport seemed “hilarious” to him.
As reported by Bleacher Report, Paul had then stated, “I love the absurdity of it.” In addition, he mentioned how he admired two people standing across from each other and taking part in a slapping contest. Paul found it hilarious. “It’s like, how is that a real event? What the f*ck is that sport?” he said.

In his opinion, if the audience could accept the “unregulated” slap event organized by Schwarzenegger and Paul, there should not be any problem with the Power Slap event. “If you saw the Chris Rock special that’s out – ‘selective outrage’. That’s what’s happened here with the Power Slap”, thus Dana White added by saying.
