Jake Paul is scaling up in the combat sports universe in the most unusual ways. Over the past few weeks, he made the headlines for appearing in the MMA space, that too fighting inside the UFC octagon. On top of this, Paul even challenged the UFC President Dana White and opened up about facing Jorge Masvidal in the octagon.
Meanwhile, Paul also received an offer from Khabib Nurmagomedov to fight under his Eagle FC banner. However, ‘Problem Child’ asserted upon facing ‘The Eagle’ first, that too in the octagon.
Nurmagomedov was recently on the Full Send Podcast. There, he gave an honest opinion on confronting the former YouTuber.

“Yeah, it’s like, if you want to fight in MMA because he never fight in MMA. He don’t have experience. We can give him chance, we can sign him.”
The interviewer then reminded Khabib about Paul’s wish to fight The Eagle, to which he said, “Come on, Jake Paul. I don’t think so like in MMA, like couple (of) minutes.”
“No, it’s mean like, what do you think, he can fight with me?” he said. “No, absolutely not,” was the prompt reply.
‘The Eagle’ fought his last UFC fight against Justin Gaethje in 2020. He retired right after this fight and vowed to never come back and fight under the big lights. That said, Paul challenging him for an MMA fight abruptly might not lure the Russian fighter.
Jake Paul seems to have found his formula for success in combat sports. That means Paul is only looking to fight absolute biggies of boxing and MMA. However, a fight with Nurmagomedov seems impossible.
Will Jake Paul transition to MMA so soon?
Jake Paul began his boxing run back in 2020. That said, the 5-0 boxer has a lot to do in the ‘Sweet Science’ segment first.

A move to MMA does look likely in his plans for sure, however, he himself might not take up an MMA fight so soon.
This is because casual boxing lovers wish to see Paul take on a pro-boxer. Having said that, it seems ‘The Problem Child’ will only look to contest pro-boxers in 2022.
