It seems some impromptu comments from Joe Rogan have infuriated Tyson Fury. During one of the recent episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience, the acclaimed commentator, during a discussion with Andrew Shulz, mentioned that the UFC’s Heavyweight champion Jon Jones would have the edge over the boxer in an open fight. The comments invariably rubbed the Mancunian world champion in the wrong way.
Early morning today, Fury posted his response through a short video clip. He said, “I heard Joe Rogan say something about me…. and I’ve been off all the social media and didn’t reply to a little bossy. Little f*****g mid**t, baldening mid**t…. I heard him say that Jon Jones could f**k me up if we were in the room together. I don’t think so. Not a man born for a mother can f**k me up in a room on our own. Whatever happens in that room, I’d be walking out, not a f*****g problem.”

It was now the turn of the UFC ‘GOAT’ to post a response. He took to Twitter and messaged, “Hey Tyson, it [seems] like Joe may have struck a nerve. I’ll admit there’s no one touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not let that confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage. [So] if you ever want to put some of those questions you got going on to rest, give Dana a call. I’ll help you out.”
The cage is mine, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones tells Tyson Fury
Mixed Martial Arts portal Sherdog, shared the details on Facebook. The attention-grabbing episode has already witnessed over two hundred comments and more than five hundred likes. Check out a few exciting viewpoints that followers have. A user named Ryan contended that Jon Jones would destroy Tyson Fury. The outcome might not be dissimilar to what James Toney suffered at the hands of Randy Couture. “Jones would obliterate him, it would be like what happened when Couture went against James Toney but updated,” he said.
A user named Rick Torres believes that Fury is insane even to contemplate that he would be able to harm Jones in an unarmed, full-contact fight such as ‘Vale Tudo.’ He said, “Tyson is absolutely outside his mind if he thinks he can prevent Jon from doing anything he wanted in a vale tudo fight.“
Another user named Darren Markus highlights the comicality of the entire affair. A boxer perturbed by such random comments explains what he would do without understanding the nuances of mixed martial arts. Techniques such as takedowns and chokes would pin him down, however good a boxer he is. “It’s always funny when boxers find the need to start defending themselves about these types of comments. [The] reality is that they would get taken down and either pounded out or choked out, and that applies to every boxer out there.“

Eric Dillion appreciates that a mixed martial artist finally told a boxer to get inside an octagon. In a squared circle, a fighter would have the upper hand. But inside the octagon, the mixed martial artists will win hands-down. He said, “It’s nice to see an MMA guy actually tell a boxer to step up in their world. As much as we all figure the boxer wins most matches in the boxing match, I think a true mix martial artist almost never looses to a boxer in MMA.“
But Chris Yukus believes that though Jones might be a winner in a locked room, one could not ignore a boxer capable of throwing wild haymakers. It might prove devastatingly compelling, and the outcome a least expected, “I think Jones is the locked room champ of the world, lol, but….I would never underestimate a huge dude throwing haymakers. It’s dangerous, and crazy things can happen.”
