Will Manny Pacquiao's Hall of Fame induction finally cement his legacy as boxing's greatest?

Boxing and MMA legends rarely cross paths, but when they do, it’s a thrill for fans everywhere. Just the other day, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones extended heartfelt wishes for the safety of eight-division boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, following a post shared by ‘Pac Man’ on social media.

Pacquiao was in talks for a fight against interim WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios earlier this year. Even WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman expressed openness to making it a reality even though Manny technically retired from the sport back in 2021. Despite that, No.8 ranked Abel Ramos has now been given the title shot on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

The 45-year-old’s trainer, Bob Santos, explained Pacquiao would be running for the senate again in January or February, so they could not reach a deal in time. Meanwhile, Jon Jones is coming out of a nearly two-year-long hiatus to square off against Stipe Miocic, headlining the UFC 309 on November 17th at the Madison Square Garden.

Regardless, Manny Pacquiao shared a glimpse of his adventurous side on Instagram, posting photos of himself cruising through breathtaking landscapes on his BMW R 1250 GS. The boxing legend captioned the post “Beyond Limits,” reflecting his passion for pushing boundaries both in and out of the ring.

This quickly caught Jon Jones’ eye, who responded to Manny Pacquiao’s post by wishing him safety on his bike trip. “Love seeing you happy champion. Stay safe on those roads,” Jones wrote. Details of Pacquiao’s journey remain unclear, but the post garnered attention, with ESPN journalist Mike Coppinger joining in to comment, “Legend.” Notably, the legend is not new to road bike trips as he is regularly seen taking part in those.

In May this year, Manny, with his beastly BMW big bike for embarked on this year’s Sarangani Bay adventourism ride in the Philippines. The retired boxer joined other motorbike enthusiasts for the adventure around Sarangani’s prime tourist spots. “Had an amazing time at the Sarbay 500 Adventourism Ride! 🏍️🌴 Thanks to everyone who made it unforgettable. #SarbayFest #Sarbay500 #AdventourismRide,” Manny later wrote in an Instagram post.

In August, he again took out the same BMW R1250GS for a 530-kilometer ride from General Santos City to Cantilan, Surigao del Sur. With that adventurous side, Manny is an avid bike enthusiast. He has a custom-made motorcycle from Harley Davidson’s sister operation, Buell. It features imagery of Manny’s legendary bouts against Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton. It boasts a 1200cc size, V-twin, four-stroke, 5 gears engine and reaches a top speed of 135 mph. But Manny is just not a bike enthusiast, his two-wheeler love also translates into bicycles.

In 2020, Manny received two ultra-lightweight carbon fiber bicycles produced by French high fashion house Hermès and Louis Vuitton as a gift. A photo of the pricey leisure bikes was shared on Instagram by his wife, Jinkee, former Sarangani vice governor. “His and Hers 🚴🚴 ♀️
This bike is a gift to us by our friend Hermie Esguerra. 😍,” she wrote.

In 2019, Bianchi North America posted pictures of Manny getting the Bianchi Zolder bicycle. “Manny Pacquiao rides Bianchi!! With the help of the Bianchi dealer in the Philippines, Celeste Cycles PH the Champ gets fitted to the correct size Bianchi Zolder. The Zolder should be a perfect bike in his training,” the brand’s Facebook page wrote. Spare a thought for his four-wheeler collection as well.

According to a report from 2018, Manny had as many as 22 cars in his garage at that point. Here are some of the four-wheeler stunners in his collection:

  • £180k Ferrari 458 Italia (The most expensive motor in Pacquiao’s car collection)
  • £130k Porsche Cayenne Turbo
  • £80k Mercedes Benz SL550
  • £90k Lincoln Navigator
  • £150k Cadillac Escalade
  • Hummer H2, (the price starts from £50k)

That said, ‘Pac-Man’ may soon get the ultimate honor of boxing.

The official list of all the inductees will be announced in December, as they join the prestigious Hall of Fame roster, with ‘PacMan’ a favorite to be enshrined during the induction weekend set for June 5-8, 2025, in Canastota, New York.
