It was a picture-perfect demolition job from Jake Paul. The ‘Problem Child’ hype train continues as he knocked out Mike Perry in the sixth round. Jabs, overhand rights, hooks, uppercuts – Mike Perry was being brutalized with every kind of shot in the boxing lexicon. It was a straight-out disasterclass from the Michigan Brawler. Committing a cardinal sin in boxing, Perry came into the fight with his guard low. And it stayed down for almost the entirety of the fight.
To make matters worse, he was trying to pressure Paul. Even though he huffed and puffed a bit, the former Disney star stuck to his boxing fundamentals and continued to hurt Mike Perry throughout the eight-round cruiserweight fight. Scoring three knockdowns, he was able to finish the fight in the sixth. Due to a dismal performance, BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ was soon fired by the promotion’s new owner and former UFC champion, Conor McGregor.
Responding to the news of Perry being fired from BKFC, the victor of the “Fear No Man” event, Jake Paul responded, “Aye, that’s f**ked up that he fired your BKFC champion.” Furthermore, he even fired shots at Conor McGregor for refusing to enter the ring against him. “I told you that was going to happen. I told you exactly what was going to happen. He was big-upping his boy. I said ok Conor, like after I f**k up Mike Perry, then you are next. Conor’s on Twitter all the time. He is on his yacht all the time. And guess where he is not? In the ring fighting me. So he can talk all he wants, but ‘Notorious MMA’ is scared of Jake Joseph Paul from Disney channel. And I put that on my momma,” he said confidently.

Interestingly, ahead of the fight, McGregor had backed the Platinum to defeat the Ohio native. “You know one of our big stars. The king of violence, he titles himself. And you know he’s had such a rise in the sport now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend that we’re all rooting for him [to win],” McGregor had said at the press conference for BKFC’s upcoming event on Oct. 12.
Unfortunately for Conor, ‘the dweeb’ won, and the second-hand embarrassment was hard to take for the Dubliner. However, the seriousness of Conor’s tweet is questionable, and we should wait for any official statement from the promotion before jumping to any conclusions about Mike Perry’s potential departure from BKFC. However, apart from his dismal performance, there might have been another reason that forced the Irish superstar to take such a drastic step.

Clash of big egos!
At one of the pressers for the now-concluded Jake Paul-Mike Perry event, directing a subtle dig at McGregor, Perry said, “I was an owner first in that company (BKFC).” Moreover, in a blatant move of one-upmanship, Perry announced that he would be launching a tequila company that would provide stiff competition to McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.

Is Conor McGregor really scared of Jake Paul, or is this just another publicity stunt?

“My tequila is going to be better than his whiskey when that comes out. That’s the drop of the brand that’s coming out soon,” Perry said. Maybe the firing was a power move from Conor to show Perry who is the boss.

Or, it could just be theatrics to line up a fight with Perry in BKFC. The pair had already faced off at BKFC 41 following Perry’s impressive performance against Luke Rockhold last year. Meanwhile, the Dubliner has made it clear that he hopes to fight for BKFC once his UFC contract ends.
