Jake Paul got handed his first-ever defeat by Tommy Fury in February. ‘The problem child’ is now set to make his comeback against MMA veteran, Nate Diaz on May 13th. The fight between the two makes sense for reasons more than one. Both competitors are one of the biggest names in combat sports today. Paul, on the one hand, is a young boxer with more professional boxing experience than Diaz. However, Diaz is an absolute veteran in combat sports and has been training in boxing for several years.

That being said, the bout is in jeopardy as Diaz has turned himself in to be arrested after choking out social media star Rodney Peterson in the streets of New Orleans. Amidst this chaos, Paul pens a three-word message to the public to set Diaz free.

This past weekend, Diaz got into an altercation with social media star Rodney Peterson in the streets of New Orleans. A video of the same also surfaced online in which Diaz resorted to violence by choking him out. Thereafter, the MMA veteran was charged with second-degree battery and it is reported that Diaz himself has voluntarily turned himself in to the authorities.

Unfortunately, this jeopardizes Paul’s comeback as his opponent may face jail time and the fight between him and Paul gets pulled off. Witnessing this, ‘the Problem Child’ could not help himself but make his reaction public. On this Instagram Story, the YouTuber turned boxer demanded his potential opponent to be freed. He stated, “Free big bro” as a caption to the news being reported that Diaz is now arrested.

KSI proposes to step in to fight Jake Paul

KSI and Paul share a hostile rivalry for many years. After the news spread of Diaz being charged, KSI took to Twitter and proposed to fight Paul if the fight falls apart. He stated, “Well, if that mean Jake won’t have an opponent in August…Then I’ll gladly come as the replacement after I KO Joe Fournier in May.”

Paul was seemingly interested as he responded by stating, “Great. I accept you as the backup opponent. The fight is at 185. There are no rehydration clauses. Stay in shape and we will give you a call if needed. Thanks buddy for being so humble and committed.”
