Jake Paul made his boxing debut in 2020, and in two years, he has sent several shock waves in combat sports. Furthermore, he frequently goes after UFC fighters to get the attention of MMA fans. Recently, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has taken a dig at Conor McGregor.
Speaking with Rob Moore, ‘The Problem Child’ talked about the biggest name in combat sport.

When asked if he would overtake McGregor in terms of pay, Paul said, “For sure. Yeah, without a doubt, you know, like, he doesn’t even fight anymore. Really, he’s just, he just loses, I guess. So you can only, you can only fight so many times when you are losing every single time.”
According to Forbes, ‘The Notorious’ was the highest-paid athlete in 2021. McGregor fought twice in 2021 whereas, Paul fought three times in 2021 and earned about 40 million in these three fights.
Thus, ‘The Problem Child‘ is one of the hottest commodities in the boxing industry. Even Eddie Hearn praised him and said he’s good for the sport of boxing.

Jake Paul is right, Conor McGregor needs to win
‘The Notorious‘ one may be the highest-paid athlete in 2021, but he didn’t win a single fight inside the octagon. Moreover, he had a gruesome injury in his second fight of 2021, where he broke his left ankle. Apart from the single win over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, the Irishman has struggled to raise his hand inside the octagon since 2018.

Both the PPVs have done exceptionally at the box office. However, the former two-division champion has looked a shell of himself inside the octagon. Eventually, the Irish superstar needs to win fights inside the octagon to stay relevant.
