Former UFC veteran and MMA legend Nate Diaz is now ready to transition into boxing and will face YouTube sensation Jake Paul in August. However, it seems that the event might be in jeopardy after Diaz’s altercation in a Misfits event. The Stockton native found himself wanted by the New Orleans Police Department following a physical altercation with an influencer. Despite this, many called for the release of the former UFC fighter with fans showing thier support online.
Diaz choked out the influencer named Rodney Petersen leaving him unconscious during the altercation. Moreover, this was captured on camera with video evidence of this circulating online. However, it looks like Diaz has now voluntarily surrendered himself to police officials, and ‘The Problem Child’ is seemingly not happy about this.

With both Jake Paul and Nate Diaz already having signed contracts for their upcoming fight, it is unlikely that either fighter would willingly withdraw from the bout unless Diaz’s legal troubles escalate significantly. However, in boxing where fights can be called off even at the last possible moment, nothing is off the table. The outcome of this fight taking place will be determined by the sentence Diaz gets for his altercations, until then everything is uncertain.
