UFC welterweight contender, Jorge Masvidal sure loves to kick up a storm. His recent victim seems to be none other than the singer, Justin Bieber. In fact, he might have asked the five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr. to open a path for Bieber to enter the ring.
It was reported that Bieber first met Mayweather in 2012. The boxing legend had reached out to Bieber after watching his film, ‘Never Say Never’. This in turn, bloomed into a close bond between the duo, with Mayweather even becoming his mentor.

Moreover, he even invited Bieber to join him when he fought Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Additionally, Bieber was also a part of Mayweather’s fights against Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez.
According to reports, Bieber is a boxing lover and wished to develop skills in the sport. And he found the best teacher in one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Meanwhile, Masvidal was quick to point out that Bieber has been training in the sport for a considerable amount of time. He mentioned that it was time for Bieber to come out of the former champ’s shadow.
Masvidal also added that the Canadian singer should step inside the professional ring to showcase his skills.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Justin Bieber have a fallout
There is no denying that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Justin Bieber shared a very close bond at one point in time. However, the situation is not the same currently.
In fact, Bieber unfollowed Mayweather on Instagram, barely a few days before his fight against Conor McGregor.

Bieber is a member of the Hillsong Church, which is a Christian Non-denominational mega-church. It was reported that Bieber was counseled by the members of the church to go through his friend list. Moreover, he was also asked to weed out those friends who were considered a ‘bad influence’.
And he unfollowed Mayweather as a part of resetting his boundaries. This however, did not sit well with the former champ, who went on to lash out at him and call him a ‘traitor’.
