During the JRE podcast with comedian and actor Fahim Anwar, Rogan discussed the effect a brutal knockout punch has on the body.

Joe Rogan explains what happened to Rolando Romero after being knocked out

Rogan and Anwar were talking about how the body shuts down when it’s struck hard. Because of this, Rogan recalled the recent knockout suffered by Rolando Romero against Gervonta Davis. The way Davis executed the fatal punch thoroughly impressed him. He stated, “He [Gervonta Davis] hit with this f****** left hook man it was so beautiful it was a counter left.”

Additionally, the UFC commentator broke the sequence down. He explained, “He [Rolando Romero] throws his right hand to the head, and then he throws it to the body and he gets countered with a picture-perfect left hook.”

Following the brutal knockout, Romero wasn’t in his senses to continue the fight. Rogan claimed, “He tries to get up and his whole central nervous system is just fried like he can’t get up, his legs aren’t working right like he’s conscious. He’s not even protesting he knows he’s out of it he has no idea what’s going on. So his whole system just shut the f*** off.”

Gervonta Davis finally gets one over Rolando Romero

The long-awaited and highly anticipated WBA lightweight title fight took place on 28th May 2022 at the Barclays Center in New York. Following a longstanding beef leading to incredible trash talk between the two, boxing fans now have a victor.

Davis delivered a stunning blow to knock out Romero in the sixth round and retain his WBA lightweight title. ‘Tank’ silenced his haters with this emphatic win as he extends his unbeaten run inside the squared circle.
