This was Wilder’s 42nd KO win in professional boxing. Wilder, who made his debut in pro boxing in 2009, now records 43 wins, of which 91.3% are won by KO. Only two weeks back, ahead of the Wilder-Helenius fight, Joe Rogan in 2 Bears, 1 Cave w/ Tom Segura discussed Wilder’s knockout abilities. He not only considered ‘The Bronze Bomber’ the greatest heavyweight knockout artist, but also claimed that his power came straight from God.

Rogan said, “Think about guys like Deontay Wilder, who’s arguably the greatest heavyweight knockout artist ever. Deontay Wilder, at one point in time, I think his record was roughly somewhere around 39-0, I think he had 38 knockouts. He had one decision where he beat (I forget the dude’s name). Then he KO’ed him in the second fight.”

Rogan was speaking about the two Wilder vs. Stiverne fights. Here is how Rogan described Wilder’s KO win over Stiverne in their second fight.

Speaking of Wilder’s knockout win over Stiverne in 2017, Rogan said, “His power is just like from God’s.” What impressed Rogan was the manner in which Wilder executed that shot and ended the fight. That Wilder stood with his hands down, walked towards Stiverne, and cracked him, won praise from Rogan, the veteran commentator from UFC.

Apart from his achievement in pro boxing, Wilder won a bronze medal in the Olympics. While others trained almost their whole life, Wilder participated in the Olympics with only a year and a half in training. Overwhelmed and impressed, Rogan concluded by saying, “He’s a guy that won a bronze medal in the Olympics. Like a year and a half in training.”
