“He’d Not Last a Round”: Fans Call-Out Floyd Mayweather for Making Bold Remarks in Resurfaced Conor McGregor Clip

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor opened the gates of combat sports and made the way for crossover bouts. Before this bout, Mayweather had 49 flawless victories, and fighting McGregor was the 50th time he was stepping on the canvas in his professional career. Besides the fight, the back-and-forth between the boxing legend and the UFC top contender was also another thing that grabbed everybody’s attention, Not long ago, the UFC legend revealed that this fight won’t be the same without McGregor’s presence. Recently, a resurfaced video of Mayweather trash-talking McGregor has spurred the internet.

So, during a press conference, Mayweather stated, “I don’t give a f**k if it’s a ring, I don’t give a f**k if it’s an octagon. Put me in there and Imma kick a**.” Both fighters were furious and quite fired up to go against each other. Then he also claimed that McGregor will wave the white flag in between the fight and quit the bout.

He further claimed to knock ‘The Notorious’ out. Mayweather said, “God don’t make mistakes and god only make one thing perfect, and that’s my boxing record.” Well, this refreshed the memories of the fans as they could recall the whole presser just by this click.

The majority of fans were experiencing nostalgia, there were also some fans who had stumbled upon this clip for the first time. They were baffled by Mayweather’s claim of stepping inside the Octagon against McGregor.

One of the fans, Charm Compassion, stated that Mayweather came out of his retirement to defeat Conor McGregor. Well, this is a bit false as ‘Money’ retired after this fight, not before. They wrote, “That old former 126lb pounder came out of retirement to whoop and ko Conor!!”

Another fan, David Stuckey, showed surprise on Mayweather’s claim of going inside an octagon. They wrote, “I’m a Floyd fan but he definitely didn’t want to go in that octagon“. On a similar note, Xiepsilon also wrote, “Floyd Mayweather did not actually say he would step inside the Octagon. No hate to him, but he would not last a round if he ever took that decision.”

One fan, Mark Williams, stated clearly that if this bout happens again, they won’t be interested. They wrote, “Not paying for this again“. While Kingdom Citizenship didn’t know that Mayweather-McGregor wasn’t an exhibition, instead it was sanctioned adequately by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. “This was Floyd’s first exhibition fight, but he fought like he was still competing. Let Conor tire himself out rounds 1-4, then proceeded to destroy him rounds 5-10.”

The fans were stuck on the sentence of Mayweather going inside the octagon, as most of them believe that Mayweather would never do such a thing.
