On October 28, Francis Ngannou will face Tyson Fury in the squared circle. This fight has left the boxing world in splits. Many fans are in a state of frenzy to see ‘The Gypsy King,’ go head-to-head against a combatant who has not yet made his boxing debut. However, this fight is highly lucrative, to say the least. Moreover, the MMA fanbase will be tuned in to watch Ngannou alongside the boxing fraternity.
On a different note, the sport of boxing is unpredictable, especially in the heavyweight division. Ngannou has made his name as a knockout artist in the UFC. During the episode, the co-host pointed out Rogan’s prediction for the fight. He asserted that Rogan respects Ngnnaou’s power but at the same time, he does not foresee his shots landing on Fury.
He stated, “Joe Rogan respects your power. But he also said that Tyson is not going to let you like just freely knock his head off.” In response, ‘The Predator,’ did not agree with the latter part of Rogan’s assessment. He expressed that no combatant is willing to get knocked out.
He reacted by stating, “Nobody is going to knock his head off. Do you think those guys that get knocked out because they knock their heads off? They are trying to hide it, you just have to go and find it.”
In addition, he stated that the combatant has the onus of making sure that his opponent gets knocked out. He added, “Nobody goes like this in my head. hit my head. No, you have to go find, after that head. Because they are hiding it. Matter of fact, not only they are hiding it, they want yours.”
It would be fair to say that, Ngannou did not agree with Rogan’s assertion regarding the upcoming fight. Moreover, Rogan’s prediction is shared by many in the boxing world. The former UFC heavyweight champion’s power is nothing to scoff at.
However, on paper Fury doesn’t look likely to get knocked out. The readers have to also take into consideration that Fury had gotten back up to his feet multiple times even after being knocked down by one of the hardest punchers in boxing currently, Deontay Wilder, in their multiple matchups.
