Katie Taylor kept her undisputed lightweight title in an action-packed slugfest at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. The undefeated pugilist improved her record to 21-0 with a split decision verdict over unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.

As soon as the fight ended and the name of the winner was declared, it created a buzz across the internet. The stars and former champs took to their social media platforms and reacted to the victory of Katie Taylor.

The UFC megastar Conor McGregor came up to praise the native of his country. He wrote, “Katie Taylor The Greatest! Absolutely incredible boxing! Take a bow ladies! What a contest! @KatieTaylor @Serranosisters @TheGarden

As per expectations, the fight turned out to be a memorable one. The pair delivered a historical showdown. Certainly, the outcome has disappointed ‘The Real Deal’. In the 5th round, the Puerto Rican was close to having finished the Irish in the ring’s corner.

But all praise to the ultimate champion Taylor for making an incredible comeback. She showcased the heart of a warrior after getting pushed on the verge of defeat.

The star lightweight contender Ryan Garcia shared his humble opinion. He wrote, “I just witnessed one of the best fighters ever and in my humble opinion Katie pulled it off.”

The result has really disappointed the social media star, Jake Paul. He was very confident about Amanda Serrano’s win over the Irish. ‘The Problem Child’ even had a $1 million bet with the English promoter Eddie Hearn. Though they canceled it later.
