Following the exhibition made by Paul, fans wondered if he was secretly preparing to launch himself soon as a mixed martial artist. While a group of fans wondered about Paul’s next career choice, others criticized him. In fact, one fan said Paul’s skill-set looked like a 50-year-old dad striking.
In his recent interview in The Jim Rome Podcast, on being asked if he was secretly undergoing MMA training, Paul revealed saying, “I am not. I am not. I’m just so focused on boxing. I started late and all these people are coming for me. They want to see me lose. And so, there’s no extra time to practice any other skills or to be distracted by something other than this sport.”
Paul is devoted to boxing and says he cannot afford time for other sports. However, in the recent past, he has dropped hints about potential MMA fights.

Paul wants to dedicate himself entirely to boxing. According to him, he started late and there are people who for that reason want to see him lose in the ring. As per his latest statement, Paul, in order to prove his doubters wrong, fails to find time for sports other than boxing. That is how dedicated he is.
However, in a recent episode, Paul said he was working with a big organization on a “whole MMA” thing. He even teased his fans saying, “…we’re going to have an announcement soon”.
