Israel Adesanya was not as big a name as he is now when the highly anticipated crossover between the UFC megastar Conor McGregor and the former five-weight division champ Floyd Mayweather was making storylines across the globe. Knowing that Mayweather was an all-time boxing phenomenon, ‘The Last Stylebender’ was backing McGregor.

Why he was doing so?

The 33-year-old gave a very reasonable response for his stand that did not turn in his favor. McGregor lost an amazing contest by way of a knockout. However, he did well in the initial rounds. His left hand caught ‘The Pretty Boy’ several times, but as the fight went deeper he began to take long breaths.

Since MMA fighters are not in the habit of fighting for 12-rounds, therefore when the fight went beyond the 7th round, McGregor began to drain. Till the 10th round, he was totally exhausted.

“I’ll be money team for a long time and when he fought McGregor, I was going for McGregor because we’re not fighting in boxing.”

Talking about his professional boxing fights, Adesanya continued, “So when he fought Mayweather I was like I want McGregor to win cuz I can relate to that, so yeah I looked at me with and look what when it was pretty boy Floyd. What he did and look at him as Money may he knew the formula he created that everyone not everyone followed. Like Ali did that as well like a lot of people have done that for years, but he’s done it the best.”
