Sonnen said, “I’m impressed with Jake by the way I think Jake’s somebody uh that people should study not teas I think that he’s somebody people should uh copy and emulate I mean I feel like he really came in and figured this out.”

He didn’t stop there. He also said he thinks Jake Paul will win. Even though he considered his statement controversial, he didn’t want to add fuel to the fire, but he still sided with Paul in this case. However, Uncle Sonnen gave a valid reason for siding with Jake Paul. He said that while MMA fighters usually win against YouTubers, Jake is a special case.

Sonnen also pointed to past fights where YouTubers faced retired legends like Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley and explained that Paul only takes on tough opponents, emphasizing his fight against Woodley, whom Sonnen described as a “big gun” like an oak tree.
