Mike Tyson's fury at Carlos Alcaraz—Is it justified or just overblown emotions?

Mike Tyson‘s love for tennis is no secret. He and his daughter, Milan, are pretty dedicated fans of the sport. They’re always keeping up with the latest matches and players. Naturally, 58-year-old Mike Tyson has his favorite players he cheers for, just like any other die-hard fan. As it turns out, Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic is one of them.

The former ranked No. 1 player just made history a few weeks ago by defeating four-time Grand Slam title winner Carlos Alcaraz to win a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics for the first time in his career. However, it appears that Mike Tyson didn’t think it would happen, and he revealed this tidbit while appearing in Logan Paul’s popular podcast ‘Impaulsive’. Moreover, the legendary boxer admitted that it infuriated the former world champion.

In a chat with ‘Iron’ Mike on Tuesday, the older Paul brother probed him about whether he was following any sports lately. Tyson, who is slated to take on Jake Paul on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, quickly revealed that “Tennis” is the second sport that gets his heart pumping. This prompted Logan’s co-host to question which players Tyson likes the most, which Tyson claimed was none other than Novak Djokovic. However, things kicked into high gear when Paul decided to bring up Alcaraz to get Tyson’s thoughts. Having watched the finals on August 4th, Tyson responded with fury.

“Listen, I didn’t think Djokovic was gonna beat him this time, he always kicking Djokovic’s a**. It makes me so f**king mad,” Tyson admitted. To put things into perspective, this year’s Olympics were realistically the last chance for Djokovic to bring home gold, which he has failed to do in the past despite performing well in other tournaments.

Olympic gold was the only thing missing in the 37-year-old’s vast list of trophies and medals, which made his win earlier this month against Alcaraz even more special. Regardless, Tyson and Logan kept the conversation going. Paul brought up Nick Kyrgios, and Tyson, who had met Kyrgios and hosted him on his podcast, said, “He’s very exciting.” With that said, did you know tennis changed Tyson’s life?
