Tennis legend Serena Williams is on her farewell tour with her last US Open tournament. Williams further went on to extend her tour by winning the first match. And, in a wholesome display of admiration, former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, was seen cheering for the tennis champ.

Williams faced Montenegro’s Danka Kovinic at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York on August 29, 2022. Moreover, the champ who is set to retire after the tournament secured a 6-3 6-3 victory against Kovinic.

The stadium was filled to the brim as nearly 25000 fans came to extend support to their idol.

There were also many celebrities in attendance at the event. ‘Iron’ Mike was one of the celebs present at the stadium and was seen joyfully cheering for Williams. Other notable names included former US president Bill Clinton, Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, and ski racer Lindsey Hugh, amongst others.
There is no denying that the legendary Williams wants to finish her career with a bang. Moreover, fans are anticipating more power-packed performances in her farewell tour.
Mike Tyson opens up about tennis changing his life
Mike Tyson has been an avid lover of the sport of tennis. It can be said that his daughter, Milan Tyson, had a major role in helping him fall in love with the sport.

He also shares a good rapport with Williams. And, even taught her a few boxing moves. Talking about tennis changing his life, Tyson said, “It broadened my horizons and I’m grateful to be involved and meeting everybody. It changed our life.”
Moreover, he also opened up about tennis improving his relationship with his daughter. He said, “I thought we were doing well and everything and everything we were doing was making money, but that’s not bigger than my daughter playing tennis.”
