On October 23, 1940, a child was born to a Brazilian couple by the names of Dondinho and Dona. They had no idea of what their son would transform into. Eighteen years later, their son, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pele, helped his country to win the FIFA World Cup. He won it twice more after that, in 1962 and 1970. No one has ever before or after accomplished what he has. Sadly, the legend recently passed away, and the entire world is bowing its head in sorrow.
