Pele, a legendary football player, was hospitalized earlier this week. The 82-year-old has spent the last few years in and out of the hospital. His recent hospitalization led to him being admitted to palliative care, where he is now getting pain-relieving treatments. During this time, a long-lost photograph of boxing great Muhammad Ali and Pele appeared online, and fans haven’t stopped talking about it since.

In addition to having an impressive club record, the Brazilian footballer helped his nation win three World Cups during the course of his career. Ali, on the other hand, is considered ‘The Greatest of All Time’ and is by far the most well-known boxing figure in history.

Ali and Pele famously had a close friendship and occasionally spent time together before Ali’s death. The Brazilian footballer continued to post birthday messages and memorials to Ali on social media. A previous image of the two icons together has just reappeared online.

The photograph shows Ali holding his friend Pele’s shoulder while wearing a brown leather jacket. Both of them are posing for the photo, with the footballer donning a blue suit and a beaming expression on his face. Look at what the audience has to say about it.

Pele’s ailing health condition 

The appellation ‘O Rei’, which translates to ‘The King’, was given to Pele in honor of his outstanding talents. O Rei was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in San Paulo with a respiratory infection. Nevertheless, according to reports, he is currently in a stable state. He also has colon cancer, which is deteriorating his health as well.

His daughter, Kely Nascimento, who is a public speaker recently revealed,

“About three weeks ago he got Covid. He is vaccinated, with all the vaccines, but because of the cancer medication, the chemotherapy, which is fragile, he got a lung infection. That’s why he went to the hospital, because of the lung infection.”
