YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul took to social media and congratulated world record holding sprinter and hurdler Sydney McLaughlin. McLaughlin hit the ground running at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in a very literal sense to kick start her campaign. The soon-to-be 22-year-old breezed through the opening round of the 400 M hurdles dash on Saturday morning.
McLaughlin is favored to go back home with a medal and there are many eyes of the young sensation at the moment. Jake Paul who is gearing up for a fight seems to have drawn inspiration from a quote that Sydney McLaughlin gave. The quote centered around handling pressure and McLaughlin certainly knows a thing or two about that.
Wow! Sydney McLaughlin @gosydgo made it look so easy.. respect..
love her quote
”Pressure is an illusion. It’s what you make of it. I’m just here to have fun and represent my country.”

‘The Problem Child’ couldn’t help but put forth his admiration for McLaughlin who is a born winner in many ways. At the age of 21, she became a world record holder as the fastest woman in the history of the 10 hurdle-400 m sprint. She earned the world record at the US Olympic trials in Oregon back in June per The Guardian.

She blew past the finish line in 51.90 seconds and bested the previous record by 0.26 seconds. The previous record was held by a 2016 Olympic champion thus making her accomplishment even sweeter.

Jake Paul: Anti-Hero or Villain?
At times, combat sports fans have a hard time figuring out if Jake Paul is a hero, villain, or anti-hero. ‘The Problem Child’ has stirred up his fair share of controversies but he’s also got a lot of things going for him.

It’s hard to criticize Paul when considering that he uses his massive platform to shout-out other athletes who deserve recognition. Furthermore, he’s also become a staunch advocate for fighter’s pay and fighters rights against the organization. It’s through these efforts that some fans have turned the corner on Jake Paul.

However, when it comes down to it, Paul embraces his role as the heel that seems to garner the most attention. Despite his seemingly altruistic actions, many fans simply want to see him flatlined when he faces Tyron Woodley next.
