The boxing world including unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, Jake Paul, and promoter Lou Di Bella was quick to respond to the latest controversy surrounding the NFL. This happened after Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during the game against Cincinnati Bengals.
The NFL player received 30 minutes of care on the field before he was transported to the hospital. However, the boxing world was not having any more shenanigans as they came out and called for the cancelation of the game altogether.

‘The Problem Child’ took to Twitter and urged the game to be stopped. He claimed that a player’s life was in danger and prayed for Hamlin. “Yo cancel the game. Save that man’s life. Prayers for Hamlin,” he wrote.

Moreover, Spence Jr. posted a story on his Instagram where he shared a photo praying for the NFL player.
Lastly boxing promoter Lou Di Bella also came out and addressed the matter. According to him, the game should have been canceled immediately following Hamlin’s collapse. He also stated that a man’s life was more important than a game and also wished the best for the player questioning people’s morality in the process.

Like the NFL, boxing is no stranger to injuries, especially to the head. Thus, the people working in the sport know how bad these injuries can become as careers progress. Moreover, they were also not afraid to let their voices be heard and came out in support of Hamlin.
What happened to Damar Hamlin?
During the match, Hamlin collapsed after trying to tackle Tee Higgins but would get hit in the chest. He would then get back up but collapsed a few minutes later. The NFL player was then taken into the emergency facility and was given CPR and oxygen. About 30 minutes later he was taken to a hospital for medical attention.
Moreover, it was later revealed that he suffered from cardiac arrest on the pitch but his heartbeat was restored on the field. The NFL would end up suspending the game for the night as the world prayed for his recovery.
