Tom Brady is regarded as one of the greatest NFL players of all time. The 46-year-old quarterback retired last year but has remained in the public limelight. He is the host of the ‘Let’s Go,’  podcast. In a recent episode, the NFL legend invited Alvarez on the podcast. Amongst other things, Alvarez gave an insight towards his training regime. He revealed that he does not wish to damage himself during training and likes to be more defensive. Reflecting on the same, he stated, “Don’t get hurt in the gym. Because I know how to hit already right so I always practice my defence in the gym”

The clip of the podcast was also posted by Alvarez on his Instagram story. Moreover, the co-host of the podcast asked Brady if he ever wanted to hit someone. In response, he revealed two names: Julian Edelman and Matt Cassel. He revealed that the former is like his little brother and jokingly mentioned his name.

However, the latter is his longtime teammate but it appears that Cassel has irked Brady. He stated, “I think Julian. It just had to be Julian. He is like my little brother. So I could never. Julian couldn’t even get hit because he probably kicked my butt.” He added, “And Matt Cassel, he would be another one. Matt, I would definitely punch Matt and maybe Julian but definitely Matt.”

Their conversation was wholesome, to say the least. In addition, it would be fair to say that although the athletes hail from two distinct sports, they have great respect for each other. Moreover, as the fight date edges closer, we are curious to know- what are your predictions for Alvarez’s fight against Charlo? Who are you rooting for on the 30th of September?
