Trolling fans online is never a good idea—something Lamont Roach Jr., who is about to fight Gervonta Davis, learned the hard way! So, what exactly happened? Well, buckle up because this one is hilarious! You see, the Philadelphia Eagles squared off against Washington Commanders on Sunday at the Northwest Stadium in Maryland. And if you were watching the game, it didn’t go so well for ‘The Iggles.’

After a sloppy performance on the field, with quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett suffering injuries, ‘The Birds’ recorded a loss, damaging their chances of getting the top seed in the NFC playoffs. Hurts had to leave the game midway through the first quarter after his head collided with the turf. This happened after Hurts was hit by linebacker Frankie Luvu.

Hurts was immediately taken to the medical tent to get evaluated, but unfortunately, he had to walk to the locker room, as he was ruled out because of a concussion. Meanwhile, Pickett, who had stepped in for Hurts, sustained his injury early in the fourth quarter after being brought down by linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Pickett was later spotted entering the X-ray room following the game. He later said he sustained a rib injury and will undergo further testing on Monday. Following the game, Lamont Roach, who is scheduled to fight Gervonta Davis on March 1st in Brooklyn, New York, for the WBA lightweight title, mocked all the Eagles’ fans on X.

“3 words for a Eagles fan rn 😂😂😂😂,” Roach wrote. As karma would have it, fans quickly sought to mock the WBA super featherweight champion in the comment section of the post.

Lamont Roach warned about the inevitable loss

Roach is climbing a weight class to square off against Gervonta Davis next year, and fans already feel he won’t be able to do much against the Baltimore native. So, when Roach mocked the Eagles fans, they were not having any of it.

One user shared their prediction for the fight, which seems to be a popular opinion in and out of the boxing community. “Tank is knocking you out,” the user commented. ‘Tank’ Davis is currently on a four-fight knockout streak, so it’s not an impossibility, especially since Davis is known for his power.

The next user shared a clip of Gervonta Davis backflipping in the ring while celebrating a win, hinting at Roach’s fate. The user also added, “Just a picture,” to remind what is about to happen to Roach. The 29-year-old’s chances of winning the bout seem even more grim, considering he barely defeated Hector Luis Garcia via split decision, whereas Davis had knocked him out in the 8th round.

Another user had a similar reaction to Roach’s mockery of the Eagles’ fans. “March you will be part of history 😂😭,” the user wrote while sharing a couple of clips of Davis knocking out his opponents.

Someone else reminded Roach about what he needed to worry about. “Worry [a]bout ya fight,” the user commented. Interestingly, Roach has faced Davis twice in the amateur days, losing both bouts. However, he remains confident in his ability to secure a win in the professional arena.

Meanwhile, this user predicted an even worse fate for Roach. “U going to Sleep March 1st,” the user wrote. The odds are overwhelmingly stacked against Roach, and Davis is expected to make quick work of the 29-year-old.

That said, it appears Lamont Roach really stuck his hand in a beehive with his tweet on X, as fans relentlessly trolled him for fighting an unwinnable battle. But do you think Roach can beat Davis? Or are all the comments right about Roach?
