Errol Spence Jr. stunned his audience with an exceptional athleticism in the sport of boxing. However, does he have the skills to make it in the NFL? The general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones hinted at an opportunity for Spence Jr. which sent shocking waves in the world of games. Ahead of his massive fight against Terence Crawford, Spence Jr. visited the Dallas Cowboys’ minicamp.

During his visit, the welterweight champion was spotted sitting on the sidelines and conversing with Jones. Thereafter, Spence Jr. engaged in a brief media scrum wherein he revealed that ‘Little Jerry’ had made an offer to him for playing in the team.

There have been instances when an NFL player has competed in the sport of boxing. Greg Hardy is one of the most recent examples. On the contrary, it is ubiquitous to witness a boxer make it in the NFL. However, Spence Jr. is inclined to disrupt that norm. During the conference, Spence Jr. dived in on his conversation with the president of Dallas Cowboys post his visit.

Jokingly, ‘The Truth’ revealed that he has enough experience in the sport and Jones playfully responded by claiming he has a spot for him in the team. “I joked with him a little bit,” Spence shared. He added, “Told him I could play, I used to play corner and safety.” Jones responded by stating, “He said they might have a kicking job for me.”

Although, the banter was high-spirited, Spence Jr. is athletic enough to cross sports and try his hand like other athletes in the past. For all we know, if it ever to happen, Spence Jr. would play for no other team besides the Dallas Cowboys. He has been a vehement fan and is supporting them ahead of their season. As per “Marca”, he stated, “Hopefully, we have a great season this year.”
