The former WBC interim lightweight champion, Ryan Garcia, made a successful comeback against the Ghanaian pugilist Emmanuel Tagoe and improved his record to 22-0. Though he clinched a clean victory, he could not escape fans’ backlash for not scoring a knockdown victory.

However, without bothering himself with comments on the internet, he paid tribute to the undebatable GOAT of the NFL, Tom Brady.

After beating Tagoe, the rising star of boxing, Garcia took to Twitter and likened himself to Tom Brady in a brief statement. He wrote, “The man in the arena” and shared his picture from the arena.

Notably, ‘Man in the Arena’, is an American sports documentary that launched last year. It displays a personal account of Tom Brady’s 10 Super Bowl appearances.

The highlight of the fight between Ryan Garcia and Emmanuel Tagoe

After a long spell of inactivity, the star boxer Ryan Garcia stepped inside the ring in San Antonio on Saturday and scored a unanimous-decision victory.

The crowd’s favorite ‘KingRy’ put forth a good fight, but first time in his career he took 12-rounds to secure a victory.

The 23-year-old outclassed Tagoe on all grounds. The spectators went wild when Garcia dropped Tagoe in the 2nd round with a lethal cross.

The fight was most likely to end between the rounds, but Tagoe displayed a courageous heart and engaged in the slugfest.

In the early rounds, ‘The Flash’ appeared sharp. He left Tagoe smiling with a few well-crafted right crosses. However, Tagoe returned it back by landing a few jabs. But as the fight went deeper, the dominance of Ryan Garcia become clear.

For the further rounds, Garcia unloaded a bunch of hooks to the body and head that stumbled Tagoe quite a few times, but the latter remained fighting back till the last round.

It was this fight that Garcia portrayed in the picture while paying tribute to Tom Brady.
