Ryan Garcia’s Next Bout is Confirmed for April 20

Ryan Garcia, also known as ‘KingRy,’ is gearing up for his next fight on April 20 after a tumultuous month. Initially in talks with Devin Haney for a bout rooted in their amateur rivalry, Garcia’s plans took an unexpected turn after discussions with Floyd Mayweather. Opting out of the Haney matchup, Garcia aimed for a showdown with WBA super lightweight champion Rolando Romero. Negotiations progressed, and a bout was seemingly on the horizon for April.

However, Romero recently signed to face Isaac Cruz on March 30, leaving Garcia without an opponent despite prior announcements. Expressing frustration on social media, Garcia felt deceived. In response, Oscar De La Hoya is actively working to secure an opponent for Garcia’s April 20 return.
