His fiance Leanna Lennee has found herself amidst online trolling in the last couple of weeks, which has affected the couple’s personal life. It even resulted in both deleting their social media handles to escape the negativity and give themselves a break. The whole drama has attracted the attention of many, and many athletes have jumped in to shield the two. It seems Jamel Herring is the latest to join the field.

The online trolling first raised its head when Lenee’s behavior at the Heisman Trophy came under scrutiny. The fans saw her stay seated in a clip while the crowd cheered and applauded Hunter, 21, who bagged the trophy. Even coach Deion Sanders‘ words couldn’t do any wonder. This all resulted in a mass movement, which even dug up an old alleged video of Lenee where she could be seen with another man. This only gave another strong wind to the growing criticism.

Herring, 39, took to his X handle and laid down the mental health struggles the Colorado Buffaloes star might have to endure. He wrote, “It gets worse by the day… pray for that kid’s mental state.”

‘GWOAT’ asked the trollers to leave the cornerback alone and mind their own business. She declared, “This why I go off on y’all and hurt yall feelings! Why tf are you y’all trolling TRAVIS HUNTER for! Leave him tf alone! If he love the girl let him love her! Always in other mfs business! He too nice to yall a**! Mind yall MF’N business!”

Head coach Sanders also dismissed any negative narrative affecting the team’s morale when he talked to the media in San Antonio about the Alamo Bowl. He said, “Everything is a blessing. He’s [Travis Hunter] exceeded expectations, on and off the field. Travis is not just a player—he’s family.”

This show of support might have eased Hunter’s worries, who had explained the situation to his fans on a Twitch stream. He had told them, “I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years. Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.” Hunter is waiting for this storm to pass on so that he can focus on his career.
