The Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight made headlines for all the wrong reasons! From the main event accused of being “staged” to the co-main event between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor—that the latter won in a 95-94 controversial decision—being called “rigged”, what took the cake was Neeraj Goyat’s unusual move that offended some and entertained others. His actions’ repercussions reverberated so far and wide that it even left the Dallas Cowboys behind. But before we get to that…
To remind you, during the third round of Goyat’s clash against Whindersson Nunes, the Indian boxer pulled off an awkward antic (reminiscent of what Adrien Broner did to Marcos Maidana in their fight in 2013), and gyrated behind his opponent. While Goyat won the fight 59-55, 60-54, 60-54 in his favor, creating history, fans couldn’t just forget what they had seen.
When you are in Dallas, the talk of the town always is the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. The cheerleading group has a cult following, so it was no brainer that they adorned the hyped Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul undercard on November 15 at the At&T Stadium (home of the Cowboys) on November 15.

However, the fans in the comments section continued to ignore the group and instead were still gripped by Goyat and Nunes’ fight. Interestingly, Rosie Perez, while analyzing the fight, had called it sloppy but fun. The same discussion continued under the post.

A fan hilariously brought the focus to Goyat’s antics inside the ring. They wrote, “Yo wth is up with Goyat😂.” Goyat teased and taunted Nunes throughout the fight, as he also exhibited his speed. But his theatrics of pushing Nunes to the corner and dancing over him seized the headlines.

A user explained Nunes couldn’t have let the disrespect go with consequences. They said, “no way nunes could let that slide.” Nunes tried his best but appeared helpless to counter and land effectively on Goyat.
Someone questioned Nunes’ fighting credentials. They declared, “hes fighting a guy who should not even be sniffing this card😂.” This fight was Nunes’ professional debut, as he had previously fought under Misfits and had a record of 0-1 there. In addition, he is more famed for his singing instead of his fighting career.
A comment pointed out how Nunes had failed to counter effectively. The comment read, “Nunes fighting scared when he can literally just bully Goyat.” Nunes didn’t execute his gameplan, as he only seemed to have reacted to Goyat’s punches and not launched attacks of his own. Notably, Neeraj landed 171 punches while Nunes was able to land just 87.
