It looks like the feud between WBC middleweight champ Jermall Charlo and David Benavidez has caught wildfire. The duo has painted shots at each other enormous times, even challenging each other for a 12-round war. A few days back, Benavidez asserted that if Charlo moves up and fights him, then it’ll be his last fight at the 168-pound weight class.
Recently, Charlo responded to the same while he was in an interview with Brian Custer.
He said, “Tell them to grow up. You’re talking to man homie. I’ve been doing this. Ain’t nowhere in the hell, David Benavidez can touch me. Bro, honestly like the type of character I really want to have like I’m just trying to be more so like professional with it.”

“But like you see what happens to these little kids that like they jump off in the water and they don’t understand it’s different.”
Charlo last fought in September 2020 against Sergiy Derevyanchenko and claimed a comfortable unanimous decision win, thus defending his title successfully for the third time.
Ever since that win, ‘Hit Man’ has hinted at moving up to the stacked super-middleweight division. Moreover, he wishes to face none other than David Benavidez in his very first fight at that weight class.
In the above interview too, Charlo looked firm on fighting ‘El Bandera Roja’ and giving the undefeated fighter his first ‘L’.
