“You’re Next, You Daft Cow”- Savannah Marshall Sends a Stern Warning to Claressa Shields After an Impressive Knockout Win

The WBO middleweight titleholder Savannah Marshall went face-to-face against her arch-rival and undisputed light middleweight champion Claressa Shields after claiming a third-round stoppage victory over Belgian female pugilist Femke Hermans on April 2, at Utilita Arena in Newcastle.

Subsequent to the fight, ‘The Silent Assassin’, spoke to iFL TV and narrated what happened between her and ‘The self-declared GWOAT’ when she seized the challenger, Hermans, with a lethal left hook.

The 30-year-old British said, “You’re next, you daft cow, and she was looking. She must have dropped something on the floor because she was looking at the floor.”

Furthermore, she smiled and added to the applauding of Shields on her victory. She said, “There is always respect, is it? She look what she has done. She’s undisputed with world champion. You don’t get, you don’t do. That for you don’t win them every day of the week, so yeah across the years but close to the person, what she has achieved but close to the boxer. She doesn’t like me and I don’t like her.”

However, after bagging the sensational knockout victory, ‘The Silent Assassin’ edged further to settle scores against two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields.

A look at the intense rivalry between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields

This was not the first time when the duo came head-to-head. Prior to this, they had an intense verbal exchange when Claressa Shields advanced her unbeaten record to 12-0 after successfully defending her belts via a decision against Ema Kozin in the UK.

Notably, during this fight of Shields, ‘The Silent Assassin’ was present in the crowd of spectators. However, after the fight, she went straight to feud with the champion and winner of the night Shields, who was present at the ringside with media personnel.

Marshall pretended that fight was so boring that she fell asleep. Moreover, she warned Shields of getting thrashed if her performance will remain the same against her. However, this infuriated the undisputed champ, and a war of words began.
