Anthony Taylor last fought in the boxing ring against YouTuber-cum-boxer, Salt Papi. Despite being a traditional combatant, Taylor was the betting underdog going into the bout. However, he proved odds wrong by securing a unanimous victory and is keen on getting back to the squared circle. The Bellator fighter turned boxer has been competing against influencer boxers for ‘MISFITS’ events in the past year. MISFITS is a boxing promotion but exclusive for celebrity boxing and KSI is one of the co-founders of the promotion. KSI last fought against Joe Fournier in May this year which ended in a no contest after KSI elbowed him.

Thereafter, the YouTuber turned boxer was considering Tommy Fury as his next opponent. However, the bout appears to be in jeopardy due to a disagreement over the weight. Witnessing the off-court negotiations not being prolific, Taylor found an opportunity to call out KSI and make some bold assertions. Moreover, the fans at large were not too interested in the match-up for various reasons. In response to the same, Taylor addressed the boxing fans over their “fears” but his comments only exacerbated the criticism.

KSI is significantly more popular and has a bigger fan following than Taylor. Recently, Taylor called out KSI for a fight and made his case by stating, “I’m the only fighter on MISFITS who poses a threat to KSI.” However, the fans disregarded his assertion to be far-fetched. The same did not sit well with Taylor and he responded to the fans who were against this match up by stating, “You guys “the fans” are all haters and actually terrified of me fighting @ksi because you know ill beat him. They gave sleepy Joe a shot who’s boring with nooo social media, but I can’t get a shot who’s the most entertaining?”

Taylor’s recent comments are quite debatable and the fans were quick to share their opinions. Here are a few intriguing fan reactions:

A fan Jaden Hawkins felt the need to rebut his points and stated, “Firstly no but secondly ngl you’re a boring fighter all you’re going to do is clinch him to a decision nobody wants to see that unless you’re the last final backup for Woodley, Mike Perry, and Tommy fury”

While, fan Chainz partially agrees with his assessment but does not foresee him fighting KSI in the near future. He states, “you’re one of the best promoters on misfits but a fight with you wouldn’t get him any respect. maybe as a backup fight but people want to see him with either fury. paul or woodley next.”

On similar lines, Gucci Lain does not find the match-up to be appealing and stated, “Sleepy Joe got a shot coz of his “pro” record, KSI wanted to fight a boxer to combat Jake, also the fact he’s a billionaire lol Unfortunately after the Salt Papi fight, a fight between you and KSI would be great to promote, but boring and hard to watch when you get in the ring..”

One fan Viv claimed that Taylor would put on a boring fight. He stated, “Yes we are totally begging to see you gas out in the first two rounds and try to go the distance with him.”
