Mikaela Mayer took a subtle dig at Terri Harper ahead of her title defense against Katharina Thanderz for the WBC and IBO female super-featherweight titles. Harper is coming off an incredible performance against Natasha Jonas, which ended in a draw.
However, many boxing fans felt that Jonas did enough to dethrone Harper. Nevertheless, Thanderz paid no attention to the criticism and stated she is expecting the best version of Harper in their upcoming fight.

Now, Mayer has reacted to Thanderz’s statement and lauded the undefeated boxer ahead of her first title opportunity. The former Olympian and current WBO super-featherweight champion could be looking at a title unification bout against the winner of the fight and rightfully so.

“I have prepared myself to face the best version of Terri Harper. So I expect her to be in really good shape, and I know it’s gonna be a really difficult fight for both of us. But I know it will be great,” she said.
Terri Harper has faced better opponents in her professional career than Thanderz. However, there’s no denying Thanderz’s prowess inside the boxing ring. She is crisp, quick, and very calculative with her strikes.

She is not someone who is looking to take the life out of her opponent with a single punch. However, she is someone who likes to school her opponents to grab the victory. Needless to say, it will be easier said than done.
Terri Harper will look to prove that she is better than the comments she has been receiving ever since her last bout ended in a draw. Harper has a lot at stake right now. The winner of this fight is destined for greatness with a potential unified title shot in the near future.
