Mike Tyson, the former two-time heavyweight champion was a crazy man in the heydays of his boxing career. He was making millions. Reports claim, his net worth in the 90s touched the $400 million mark. With such a big income, ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ acquired several bizarre things. One of them was his pet tiger.

In a conversation with rapper Cordae on his podcast, the boxing dynamo revealed, he paid $50, 000 each to keep three white tigers at his mansion as pets. This is the only small part of Tyson’s craziness. He not only tamed them but also build a good relationship with them as common people do with their pets like dogs and cats. He used to play with them. The tigers were allowed to sleep in his room without shackles around them.

The brief clips of Tyson playing with tigers became very famous in the 90s. He brought tigers when they were cubs and took care of them till they grew up to be around 400lbs.

He said, “Now listen, when you make them (tiger) haha aww! (roar), Ni**, your heart falls to your sneakers. Awwww N**, so listen this is how it goes right like if I go to the house right and if they’re not running to the f***ing gate to see me. I don’t go in there. And when they come running in, ‘st’ ni*ga’. And when they just sit, they’re looking at you like this (then the impression of a tiger’s gesture). ‘I don’t go there’.”

Later, when tigers went mad due to age-related and several other reasons, Tyson had to get rid of them because the tigers got involved in several incidents in his neighborhood.
