Ne-Yo shares the story about the time he met with Trippie Redd
The actor-singer shared an interesting encounter with Trippie Redd during an episode of Mike Tyson’s podcast. According to Ne-Yo, they met at a Record Plant in LA when they were both leaving their respective rooms. Trippie Redd who reportedly has a net worth of $8 million, approached Ne-Yo and expressed his admiration for his music.
Ne-Yo was surprised since Trippie Redd’s appearance with his tattoos and spikes did not seem like a typical fan of his music. However, Trippie Redd explained that he used to play a video game where he would drive around and listen to Ne-Yo’s songs on the radio while killing people in the game.
Ne-Yo found it amusing and took it as a compliment. He said, “You used to murder people to my music, cool that’s a compliment bro, thanks for that yeah.” This encounter led to their collaboration on the song Push Up, which became a hit.
Ne-Yo’s story highlights the impact music can have on people, even in unexpected ways. It also shows that music can bring people from different backgrounds and styles together to create something great. The guest also revealed his newly found career interest besides music in the same episode.
