Jake Paul seems to be adamant about facing Canelo Alvarez in boxing. After Canelo fought Gennady Golovkin, Paul called the Mexican fighter old and demanded a fight. Despite being branded an “idiot” in his own words, Paul reiterated himself ahead of Canelo vs. Dmitry Bivol. In his opinion, Alvarez “looked weird” against GGG and hence needed to prove himself by facing ‘The Problem Child’.

In his response, besides claiming Jake Paul was “not crazy,” Alvarez suggested a potential bout “in two years”. Later in an interview, the Mexican boxer announced that being concerned with “other things in my career,” he would probably fight Paul after he was done with professional boxing. However, after ‘The Problem Child’ faced Nate Diaz, Canelo suggested Paul calm down and enjoy what he was doing. In light of Canelo’s recent fight with Jermell Charlo, Jake Paul once again sent the Mexican boxer a message.

According to Jake Paul, Charlo did not fight the way ‘The Problem Child’ would have fought Alvarez in the ring. Likewise, the YouTuber-turned-boxer feels Charlo could not get the Mexican fighter in a fix. “Charlo’s not really given him anything. He has not really given him that power.
